A safe, nurturing, and fully free-of-cost rehabilitation hub where children begin their journey from disability to ability. The Rehabilitation Center is the heart of Umeed Gah the place where hope is restored, milestones are achieved, and smiles return to the faces of children and their families. Since 2007, our center has empowered hundreds of children from low-income households by providing 100% free, high-quality therapeutic and educational services, designed to meet the unique needs of every child. Our multidisciplinary model ensures that each child receives integrated therapy, special education, emotional support, and individualized care under one roof. With a child-friendly, sensory-safe environment and trained professionals, we address every aspect of development physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioral.
Because a nourished child learns better, heals faster, and smiles brighter. At Umeed Gah, we believe that rehabilitation is incomplete without proper nutrition. Many of the children who join us come from low-income, food-insecure households where even a basic meal is uncertain. Malnutrition slows down therapy progress, weakens immunity, and affects concentration, energy levels, and emotional well-being. To ensure every child receives the strength needed for growth and therapy success, Umeed Gah provides fresh, healthy, and balanced lunch to all enrolled children completely free of cost. Every day, children receive a nutritious meal prepared hygienically inside our center, with careful consideration of their health, age, and medical needs.
Our meals include a rotating menu of:
Supporting the families who support our children. Behind every differently-abled child is a family fighting silent battles emotional, physical, and financial. Many parents at Umeed Gah are daily-wage workers, single mothers, or families living in poverty while trying to raise a child with special needs. Their limited income is often spent on medicines, travel to therapy, and basic survival. Understanding these hardships, Umeed Gah runs a Ration Distribution Program to ensure that no child’s progress is affected because their family struggles to afford food. This program provides essential monthly and seasonal ration packs to some of the most deserving families connected with our center.
Restoring mobility. Rebuilding dignity. Giving children the freedom to move with confidence. For many differently-abled children, mobility is not just a physical need it is a gateway to independence, interaction, emotional strength, and overall development. Unfortunately, most families who come to Umeed Gah cannot afford wheelchairs, CP chairs, walkers, or specialized supportive devices. Without these essentials, children remain restricted, dependent, and unable to fully participate in therapy or daily activities. Understanding this critical need, Umeed Gah initiated its Assistive Devices Distribution Program, ensuring that deserving children receive high-quality mobility and supportive tools completely free of cost.
Mobility devices transform a child’s life by enabling:
Empowering hands. Strengthening futures. Breaking the cycle of dependency. At Umeed Gah, we believe empowerment is not limited to therapy or education alone. Many of the families connected with our center especially mothers of differently-abled children struggle financially. Their lives revolve around caregiving, leaving them with limited opportunities to earn or develop skills. To support them, Umeed Gah established its Skill Development & Vocational Training Program, aimed at uplifting:
This program opens doors to financial independence, confidence, creativity, and self-respect.
Our vocational training courses focus on practical, income-generating skills:
Changing mindsets. Breaking stigma. Building an inclusive and compassionate society. In Pakistan, one of the biggest challenges faced by differently-abled children and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) is lack of awareness not disability itself. Misconceptions, stigma, ignorance, and social pressure often prevent families from seeking timely therapy or education for their children. At Umeed Gah, we believe that real transformation begins with awareness. When communities understand disability, they become more accepting, supportive, and empowered to care for these children. Our Community Awareness & Advocacy Program is designed to educate parents, youth, community members, and educators about disability rights, early intervention, and inclusion.
Early detection saves lives. Proper guidance saves futures. Many children suffering from disabilities in Pakistan remain undiagnosed, untreated, or misunderstood due to lack of awareness, poverty, and limited access to medical professionals. Early detection can change the entire path of a child’s development yet thousands of families never get the chance. At Umeed Gah, we ensure that every child gets the right diagnosis, timely intervention, and professional guidance, all free of cost. Our Health Camps & Medical Support Program provides preventive, diagnostic, and referral services for children with developmental, intellectual, physical, and sensory challenges.
Umeed Gah conducts regular medical screening camps and health checkups with experienced professionals specializing in:
